A response to president Obama’s congratulation message
However I know this letter may be read neither by president Obama nor by any other official in U.S.A but I feel responsibility of writing it. Firstly to thank his congratulations as I afraid his message would never be replied by our leaders, and secondly to express my feeling toward it as an Iranian youth like many others here.
Dear Barack Hussein Obama;
It was kind of you sending a message to Iranian people and leaders on their new year’s celebration –nowruz-. It was a nice of the president who has forgotten all the dark past and wants to make a new, bright future. And it is a shame of ours to ignore it and even not publish it to the people.
I am proud. I am proud of receiving a message of the first country’s president. I am proud of being recognized by my history in the world. I am proud that our culture, our literature, and our history that were going to be forgotten by the substitute of religion are revived again. I am proud that the first man in the world finishes his speech by a Persian poem and the Persian sentence.
I am sorry. I am sorry about the Iranians who still consider U.S.A as their first enemy. I am sorry about the people who call you the biggest devil, whose slogan is down with America. I am sorry about the Americans who consider us as terrorist, the ones who know nothing about us and are against us only because of wrong propagandas –as we are-.I am sorry of living in the world which the humanity is lost under the labels of nationality, language, politic, and religion.
I am happy. I am happy of living in the world which is governed by such presidents, the presidents who have no problem sending a message to a country which considers them as their first enemy, the president who respect all the people regardless of their nationality, language, and religion, the president who even prefers the others to themselves.
I am hopeful. I am hopeful that all the leaders and people around the world remove the labels of nationality, language, and religion of their eyes in order to see a real world and experience a peaceful, friendly, and enjoyable life.
Best
An Iranian

Hello all
This is my first post in English. After about six years of blogging in my first language -Persian-, I’ve decided to start to blog in English too. having blogged in different hosts I migrated here –to WordPress- just three months ago and I have had good times here by now. The main aim of starting the English part was to share my ideas internationally with the world. In the future posts I’ll explain more about this weblog, its concerns, the goals, myself, and other stuff. please keep in touch.
